Professor Hua-Li QIN (秦华利) joined Wuhan University of Technology in 2013 and started his academic career thereafter.
Prior to joining WHUT, Professor Qin was an accomplished chemist and entrepreneur with more than
15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
Professor Qin has been a founding core member of several companies since the year of 2000.
Numerous generic and new drugs for various indications developed by Dr. Qin and
his colleagues have been approved and many of them are still being developed.
Professor Qin received his B.A. in analytical chemistry from Anhui University;
his M.S in organic chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China (advisor: Professor Z.-X. Wang);
his Ph.D. in organic chemistry/medicinal chemistry from Boston University (advisor: Professor J. S. Panek);
his comprehensive academic training in The Scripps Research Institute (la jolla) (advisor: Professor K. B. Sharpless).
He is the author of more than 110 papers and an inventor on more than 30 patents.
